Playwrights
We welcome submissions from playwrights with scripts which are suitable for radio. If we like your play and all is agreed, then Wireless Theatre Company will produce, edit and upload the play for the public’s listening pleasure!

 

General Submission Guidelines
• Scripts must be in audio script format and in readable font - if you would like an example of a script in audio format, email us and we'll send you one.


• Must include your name and contact details on the first page.


• Send scripts as an attachment in WORD format only – not in the body of your email.


• Cover letters introducing yourself and any relevant experience get read first.


• Do not submit multiple scripts.


• The Wireless Theatre Company will not produce something which has already been agreed by another production company.


• We will, occasionally, present productions which have already been recorded – providing they match the audio quality of previous WTC productions.

 

• Writers are permitted to attend rehearsals, but not the final recording.

 

We receive a very high number of submissions and will endeavor to reply to emails within 48 hours, if you do not hear back from us after a week you can assume that your script has not been accepted on this occasion.

 

Once Accepted

Your scripts may be edited for structure, typos and continuity. You may be asked for re-writes.

 

If your script is accepted by us, writers are required to pay a small, one off admin fee to help with recording costs. 

 

Due to the high number of productions we already have lined up, it may be many months before your production is produced. But it will be worth the wait!

Actors
In the same way, we welcome applications from actors and actresses. Once you become a member of the performance team then you will be eligible to audition for every play that is recorded with us. It would be a great voice showcase for any actor.

 

You may not get a reply when you send us your details, but all CVs are kept on file for future productions.
