Launch Party

neily.jpgWednesday 23rd July saw our summer press launch party take place at The Headliners Comedy Club in London; and what an evening it was! It was an incredible success; over 150 listeners, guests, friends and press arrived, along with our patron, who were all thoroughly entertained by the talent from the Wireless Theatre Company.
MC for the evening Neil Frost shared witty banter (heckling) from one of the evenings' fantastic special guests Richard O'Brien - who treated us to an 'unplugged' performance of songs including 'The Time Warp' from his masterpiece "The Rocky Horror Show" - which bought the house down! Hilarious duo Davis & McQuillan performed next and drew praise from the whole room, then the audience were treated to an audio scene from The Youth of Old Age, starring Prunella Scales.

Following the interval we were honoured to welcome our patron Nicholas Parsons onstage who received rapturous applause and introduced our resident sketch group In The Meantime, whom he had been directing for the evening.

If all these acts weren't hard enough to follow, up stepped No Clause For a Llama who not only rose to the challenge but also delighted the audience with their brand of comedic theatre and closed the show with 'Johnny Rattlesnake' (the fastest Welshman in the West) and gave us an insight in to the life of a struggling actor (Am I Shit?)...

Holding all this talent together was the always hilarious Neil Frost acting as compare, keeping the audience spell-bound between acts and successfully hosting us through the night. However, even all this had to give way to the standing ovation the evening received. A thoroughly brilliant night all round.
If you were not lucky enought to attend, beautiful photographs of the evening were taken by Nick Hemingway are below and on other pages on the site. Due to it's resounding success we hope to be able to bring you some more of Wireless Theatre Company... LIVE very soon.
Thank you again for all your support and, as always,  keep listening!
