What's New?
Our latest offerings are quite a mixed bunch. Firstly we have Davis & McQuillan - the musical comedy duo who performed at our launch party. Davis & McQuillan are also performing at this year's Happy Hour at the Edinburgh Festival, hosted by our very own patron, Nicholas Parsons. Download a listen to this talented duo and their original songs.
On a different note we have Gullibility Factor - Peter Yates' full length satire about our gullible society. It's a great production, and if you like it, why not come and see the Random Cactus and WTC stage version at the Edinburgh Festival - Augustine's from the 2nd August - 15th (not 11th), 9.45pm - you won't regret it. The show has already recieved great reviews, including 4 stars from the Edinburgh Evening News.
We also have the eagerly anticipated production directed by Prunella Scales - The Ceremony written by Anthony Sergeant and starring Anthony and Jenny Runacre. It's slightly more classical and nostalgic than our usual stuff, so we're very proud of it, and it has a beautiful music score by Daniel Brett.
We're also all about the sketches at the moment - most recently we have The Oxy Show in the studio and very soon we will be welcoming popular sketch group In The Meantime... back into the studio next month for some more of their side splitting sketches - and an exciting cameo! Their first sketch download is one of our most popular.
This month has been particularly busy organising our birthday launch party - an evening on the 23rd July, of fantastic entertainment featuring some of WTC favourites such as In The Meantime, as well as new comedy groups No Cause For A Llama and Davis & McQuillan. The evening will be hosted by Neil Frost and will feature special guest, our Patron Nicholas Parsons and a VERY exciting performance from the one and only Richard O'Brien - if you would like to attend this launch performance (we have a limited amount of tickets left) please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
What's Next?
Despite being incredibly busy, this month we still found the time to record Laying Ghosts by Clare Reddaway. It featured a large cast of WTC regulars, and new voices and will be our latest full length drama released this summer.
As well as that we're currently working on Romeo & Juliet which we recorded as part of the Wireless Theatre In Education programme. That will be online for the new term in September.
