Twenty Six Miles’ is a compelling and amusing drama about Dorando Pietri, the Italian marathon runner, who in the 1908 London Olympics, collapsed as he came into the stadium and was helped over the line. Though deprived of his medal, on appeal by the Americans, Queen Alexandra was so taken by his efforts that she had a special cup made for him.

. For the third year running, we hosted STAGE FRIGHT to launch the fabulous London Horror Festival. Three plays short listed and performed live to special guest judge Seth Patrick. First up we had Special Delivery by Elizabeth Adlington, which focused on a couple following the delivery of a rather unusual teddy bear. Next came Tears from the Pillow by Gabrielle Wright, a touching yet spine-chilling tale about a man in a coma (we daren’t reveal any more). Finally, Pete Barrett’s Forever Amber told the story of a cantankerous lord with a passion for taxidermy. The award went to Pete Barrett’s FOREVER AMBER, but you can listen to all three productions here.
Stage Fright 2013. Once again Wireless Theatre were thrilled to open the London Horror Festival by recording, live at the Etcetera Theatre, three short-listed horror plays; Valley House, The Skulk and Cool Head. The plays were then judged by horror royalty Kim Newman.

Silver Wedding, by Fiz Marcus. After 25 Years of marriage Barbara is determined to celebrate with a black tie dinner for 60 people at The Metropole. And nobody, but nobody, is going to spoil it for her. A stunning monologue written and performed by Fiz Marcus.
